About this event
All area child care providers are welcome to attend the FREE Child Care Provider Quarterly Professional Development Series. Attendees will receive credit towards annual recertification requirements.
Speaker: Monique Koerner, Family and Community Wellness Agent with K-State Extension, Cottonwood District
Topic: Better Brains for Babies is a research-based educational program from the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension that K-State Extension has partnered with to bring to Kansas. The program is an awareness and education initiative aimed at parents, caregivers, and early-childhood professionals that highlights how early brain development occurs and what supports it. We will explore how neuroscience and early childhood development intersect to guide best practices and environments that promote healthy brain wiring in infants and young children.
There will also be a prize drawing for attendees that evening. This is a wonderful opportunity for child care providers to connect with fellow professionals and build strong networks.
A special thank you to the Robert E. & Patricia A. Schmidt Foundation for their sponsorship of this series!
